Springboard is making Ontario a safer and better
place by providing leading-edge programs that enable at-risk youth
and adults to reach their full potential. As a charitable
organization, we engage the community in our work and serve people
involved in the justice system, individuals needing employment/training and
people with developmental disabilities.
We:
- Launch and sustain innovative and replicable
programs that prevent crime and integrate at-risk people into
the wider community
- Build partnerships with multiple and diverse
agencies, businesses and government to facilitate access to needed
services, while fostering the community’s sense of responsibility
for those at risk
- Implement best practices to make our work as
effective and efficient as possible
- Engage volunteers and ensure accountability
to the community we serve
- Recommend improvements to the criminal justice
and social service systems consistent with our mission.
Springboard's Program Areas:
Springboard's client-centred programs are
focused on personal development, crime prevention and community
engagement. We concentrate on four areas:
Justice: We break the cycle of
harmful behaviour with skill-building residential and community
programs aimed at youth and adults at risk or in the criminal justice
system.
Employment Counselling & Training: Our
counselling and training programs help youth and adults overcome
barriers to employment.
Services for the Developmentally Disabled:
We create and administer residential and day programs to
help youth and adults with developmental disabilities acquire the
skills to reach their full potential.
Housing: Our non-profit housing
gives homeless men a safe and affordable place to live and links
to community resources.
