The Winter Blues Fest is a charity event for Springboard’s Services for the Developmentally Disabled Department. The event took place on February 25, 2010 at the Cadillac Lounge and featured musical performances by Springboard staff and supporters.
Special thanks to all the performers including : Corey Beckford, Dan Boyer, Peter Eastmure, Chris Lam, Elliot Lewis, George Lewis, Daniel Longmire, Paul Persyko, Peter Sackaney, Bert Steenburgh, Mike Steenburgh, Alec Steinwall, Allan Steinwall, Emily Steinwall, Jack Steinwall and Darwin Wong.
The event raised over $3,400 for client programs including community field trips, wilderness excursions and the Exceptional People’s Olympiad.

SOAR -- Seeking
Opportunities Accessing Resources
Operation Springboard offers an innovative
day or evening program for young adults, ages 18 to 28, with
developmental disabilities. The program assists individuals
in making a successful transition from school to community-based
activities and work. |

Lifeskills Residences
Operation Springboard has two homes for men
16 years and older with developmental disabilities: Frank
Drea House and North Beaches Residence.
Funded by the Ministry of Community and Social
Services, both programs are voluntary. They offer individualized
support to each resident in setting and meeting personal goals
for leading a well-rounded life and participating in the community. |
