Springboard & Shoppers Optimum Points Program

We are proud to announce that we are now part of the Shoppers Optimum Points Donation Program! This means anyone can support Frank Drea House, North Beaches Residence and S.O.A.R. by donating some or all of your Shoppers Optimum Points to Operation Springboard. The donations will be used for purchasing many necessary client health and home related supplies that can be found at Shoppers Drug Mart. Donating is easy. Simply go to www.shoppersdrugmart.ca and follow the few easy steps. Thank you for your continued support.

Springboard & Home Depot

This fall Frank Drea House and North Beaches Residence were the lucky recipients of services offered through Home Depot's Community Service week. Each house received $500.00 worth of Home Depot Products and 100 volunteer hours.

The Home Depot from Leaside location worked with Frank Drea House and the Home Depot from East York location worked with North Beaches Residence.

Before any work was done representatives from Home Depot visited the houses to discuss what work we would we like done and to let us know what they could do for us. They listened to all our ideas and were able to offer valuable suggestions regarding the houses. They told us they would help us out as much as they could.

Early on September 30th a crew of Home Depot employees volunteering their time and expertise descended on each location. They arrived with a van full of supplies to spend the day working hard. Before it was even lunch North Beaches had a new kitchen floor, and most of the residents' bedrooms were painted. At Frank Drea they had installed a new kitchen sink, a new office door and had painted several rooms.

Both houses held a great barbeque lunch for the volunteers as a thank you for all their hard work. After lunch the work continued with more painting, repairing and installing. By the end of the day each house had a lot of work completed. The volunteers really went above and beyond their original goals. They accomplished most of the things on our wish list. Frank Drea House and North Beaches were extremely thrilled to be a part of this great opportunity.
