Job Connect is an employment program funded by the Ministry of
Training, Colleges and Universities.

The program, coordinated by Operation Springboard, aims to assist
unemployed Ontarians obtain sustainable employment as well as to
bridge the gap between individuals seeking employment and employers
with human resource needs. Apprenticeship-focused career
exploration, higher skills placements,
services for New Canadians and student
services are key focuses within our newly expanded Job
Connect services programs. A regular workshop schedule is open to
all those interested in participating.
Job Connect services include three components:
- Information and Referral Service (IRS)
,
- Employment Preparation Program (EPP)
- Job Development Placement Service (JDPS)
Each component provides an array of services, including job search
strategies, workshops and possible job placements. Training incentives
are potentially available for employers through the JDPS segment
(up to $4000.00 per participant placement) to help cover the practical
costs related to training new employees. Training support stipends
for participants are available to cover various work-related costs
(up to $400.00 per individual).
Our new, fully functional resource centre is now open!. New services
for adults, newcomers and the underemployed are available.
