The Resource Room is a walk-in service providing Scarborough
youth aged 15-30 with strategic support in effectively searching for jobs.
We offer resources to help young people move forward and succeed, including high-speed internet, phone and fax use in a quiet, laid-back atmosphere for study, research,
and work.
We want to ensure that people accessing the centre develop
the necessary skills to become self-sufficient, confident job
searchers. We offer a variety
of workshops in key job search topics:

|
- tracking down opportunities and accessing the "hidden job market";
- creating resumes and cover letters that get you through the door;
- making a great impression on employers (especially in the interview!);
- career exploration and options; and
- surviving school: homework and study help.
