Successful Employment Strategies is an employment counselling centre. Our aim is to assist people in building a better future for themselves by providing them with the skills and direction necessary to obtain long-lasting and meaningful employment.

Through SES, a job developer or employment counsellor helps clients meet their employment support needs. To be eligible for the program, an individual must be unemployed or underemployed and not attending school.

We assist our clients in:

• developing realistic employment goals
• finding needed skills development training
• resume preparation
• interview preparation and presentation
• effective job search strategies
• obtaining ongoing support for non-employment needs.

We serve a diverse clientele - a reflection of today's society and the local community. We believe the community is best served by working with people to help them deal with the barriers that affect their stability and growth. By doing so, we encourage the productivity and success of the community, since individuals who are self-sufficient contribute to the community, rather than draw from its resources.

We work with clients on a one-to-one basis to ensure that their needs are fully met. We also conduct regular needs assessments of the community and client base to ensure that we are providing services that continue to benefit the people we serve.
