Employment Services - Youth at Work  
 

Youth at Work is an employment program funded by Service Canada for at-risk youth between the ages of 15-30.

The program offers employment preparation and ongoing support for individuals with multiple barriers to employment. The Youth at Work team consists of employment counsellors, a job coach and job developers, and provides services such as in-depth assessment, workshops, counselling, and individualized job development.

Workshops are designed to meet the individual needs of clients and cover topics including but not limited to:

  • Interview skills
  • Job search
  • Resume writing
  • Life skills
  • Workplace safety
 


The program offers additional employment supports including TTC tickets, psychological and vocational testing and special support for clothing, safety equipment and shoes.

Youth at Work services are available from two satellite locations across south Scarborough: including Malvern and the Midland and Lawrence location.
